The Jacques Marie Mage 2001 is an oversized, wrap-around visor design handcrafted in Italy, embodying bold, monolithic sophistication inspired by the iconic helmets worn by the astronauts in 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). Featuring signature silver spur-shaped rivets and custom hinges, the frame is engineered with a clear rubber nose bridge for enhanced comfort and fit. These extraordinary sun shields reflect unconventional craftsmanship and futuristic elegance, merging cinematic inspiration with meticulous Italian artistry to create a striking and distinctive statement piece.
LIMITED PRODUCTION BATCH OF 350 PIECES
Crafted from black 10mm cured cellulose acetate, this frame features custom acetate temples accented with precious metal hardware and a black nylon shield lens providing 100% UV protection. The design incorporates hidden silver HAL 9000 wirecores and silver tension-secured custom 9-barrel hinges for strength and precision, while custom rubber nose pads ensure enhanced comfort and fit. Completed with a backside anti-reflective treatment, the black nylon lens delivers a bold, futuristic aesthetic combined with exceptional craftsmanship and superior visual clarity.
Limited-edition spectacles from the Stanley Kubrick by JMM collection are presented in a custom monograph box set, accompanied by either an octagonal Heywood eyewear case or a soft eyewear pouch for the 2001 model. Each set includes a custom stainless steel screwdriver with burgundy enamel detailing, an oversized commemorative cleaning cloth, and an exclusive booklet featuring original short essays, reflecting the collection’s tribute to cinematic artistry and meticulous craftsmanship.
